Something little like this completely made my day on Friday-
I was talking to my 4 year old niece on the phone
(actually she was talking to me). After about 25 minutes of her talking my ear
off (which I LOVED), I said,
"Well Rachel, Aunt Jill has to go pick up Uncle Jeff, so
thanks for talking to me!" To which she responded,
"Oh. Okay well...I'm not done yet." (and continued telling me stories
for 15 more minutes-WOW, I love that girl!)
This is how the rest of the conversation went:
“So at Benjamin’s
house we were having a bike race and Adam was trying to get the key from
Benjamin, but-"
*(I heard my nephew, Adam, in the background trying to get a turn on the phone)
“-Shh!! Adam, I’m talking! But then Adam was too slow
so Benjamin got it first. But later we took a bath and we pretended Adam was
the scary ocean octopus-"
“Adam, shhhhh! I’m on the
phone.”
"And then we got Yougurtland. I like to get strawberry with a cherry and teddy bears."
(I'm pretty sure she meant gummy bears). It was pretty cute. And don't worry, Adam did get a turn to talk to me and asked me all about Disneyland and if I remembered the fireworks and the merry-go-round outside of the Peter Pan ride).
My day was 100% better after discussing teddy bears on frozen yogurt and the merry-go-round at the happiest place on earth. Thanks Rachey and Adam!!
