YES!! Spring Break

Wahoo! Our Break started off with a road trip to Albuquerque to visit the temple and pick up Jeff's mom. Back in El Paso, the 3 of us went hiking, walked around dowtown EP, and went to the Sunland Derby horse races. I felt like I was in the movie, Secretariot- except without one of those awesome hats all the ladies wear.

Debbie went home Tuesday, and since then I've been doing things like sleeping in, shopping for springtime clothes, getting a massage and pedicure, and going on a date to the zoo and golfing with Jeff!

 (Hedwig! Awesome!)

What a great Spring Break-the only thing missing was Disneyland (but I guess we'll just have to do that during Summer Vacation)

A day of the Irish

Ahh...one of my favorite days is here again. I don't think I've never NOT had corned beef, cabbage, and red potatoes on St. Patrick's Day.

This time, since Jeff's mom was in town for Spring Break, we decided to make it a party and invite more people (not pictured here). One of the guests we invited is actually from Scotland- It made the dinner even more authentic.  ;)

We even added in some biscuits for those guests who prefer American food over Irish.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Beautiful Baby Shower

My good friend Amy is due in about a month with her first baby. A girl! A few of us from the ward threw her a shower last Saturday.

I was in charge of Games-
I got lots of prizes...

...1. for the winers of the clothespin game (If you are caught crossing your legs, you get your pin stolen. Whoever has the most at the end wins)

2. For the winner of the baby food game. Guessing the flavor by sight only

3. For the person with the guess closest to the actual number of Jelly Bellys. Emme did awesome and guessed 350, the exact amount.

4. And of course, this one- I uncovered an assortment of baby items for 15 seconds and then covered them again. Whoever remembered the most was the winner.

It was a lot of fun!

Springtime Wedding

On March 1, Jeff and I flew into Vegas for my wonderful friends' wedding. Jenny, Mike and I have known each other since our middle school and high school choir days. The two of them started dating 6 years ago on a Choir trip, and have been together ever since. I was honored that she asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. The wedding was held outside in Emerald Gardens and was just beautiful!

I enjoyed all the traditional wedding events that took place that weekend. The rehearsal dinner, walking down the aisle, helping out with the reception toasts and the "grand entrance" of the Bridal Party...

...and finally, at the reception, the much-practiced and anticipated Bridesmaid Dance, which Jenny did an awesome job of choreographing!

It was a great weekend! Plus, we even got time with Rachey, Adam, Brooke & Erica. All the pictures here make it look like Rachel's our favorite, but don't worry Adam, these are just the pictures we took while watching your Tee Ball practice from the sidelines :)
